Actress, Tia Mowry [of the Tia and Tamara show] has decided to trade in her signature twin look [you know the long duby style / sometimes kinky curly twists look that we all grew up and known of her and her sister] for a new hairdo. The actress who also starred in BET’s hit show “The Game” chopped off her long curly locks for a short pixie style cut instead. I must say that when I got the email about this I wasn’t sure if this was Tia’s best move [given that her hair was a staple in her image and in the entertainment industry] but she pulled it off beautifully.
Tia talked about her new transformation with hiphollywood recently and says that her decision was largely attributed to the birth of her son:
“I think I’m a new person. My son is 15 months now and I’m not the same person that I was before. I have a new perspective and a new outlook on life and I would say it’s because of him. So I wanted to do something that represented that as well and cutting my hair is fresh, it’s starting anew and I have a new lease on life because of my son.”
