Hallelujah for that one!
It has been long speculated since Fantasia hooked up with Antwan Cook back in that Antwan manipulated Fantasia into believing that he was a legally separated from his wife during their courtship knowing all the while that he was still married and contemplating a divorce instead.
Fantasia received public backlash after photo surfaced on the internet showing Antwan and her vacationing in the Barbados six months before Cook filed divorce papers from his then wife Paula Cook. In the court documents filed it is noted the following:
“The parties consent and agree that Plaintiff [Paula] and Defendant [Antwaun] are husband and wife having been lawfully married to each other on October 1, 2005 and separated on June 16, 2010.”
Given these proof of documents, Antwan affirms that he did cheat on his wife with Fantasia. This is surely likely to stir up some drama for Fantasia yet again. Paula initially sued Fantasia for “Alienation of Affection” citing that she was aware that Antwan was a married man.
In the state of North Carolina one can sue the third party who “alienates” the affections of one spouse from the other spouse.
If my memory serves me correctly this lawsuit was already addressed during Fantasia’s reality show, and Fantasia affirmed that she had no knowledge that Antwan was married and she also confronted Antwan at the season finale show regarding his lies of being separated while vacationing with his wife during the time when he alleged to be separated.
Now, although I’m familiar with legal terminologies, I’m not sure what is the limitations of statute in this case. If the charges were dropped and or dismissed somehow could Paula bring this back up in court now there is public records on this matter [especially now that Antwan and Fantasia is no longer together].
Lately, Mr. Cook has been seen posted up very affectionately with reality star Kendra of the “Bad Girls Club” . Kendra seems to be uncaring what and or who Antwan dated prior and she made their relationship known to the public via instagram with the pics below:
