It was a somber day in hollywood as family and friends bid farewell to Green Mile actor, Michael Clark Duncan. Duncan passed away on Sept 3 from heart failure and his death still a shock to many of his friends. Duncan who was a former meat-eater turned to vegetarianism earlier this year. Many of his friends say the actor seem to be healthier spirits physically and spiritually and was looking forward to marrying his longtime girlfriend/fiancee, Omarosa Manigault.
Notable celebs that attended the funeral ceremony included, Tom Hanks, Jay Leno, Vivia A Fox, Holly Robinson Peete Sherly Lee Ralph, director of Green Mile, Frank Darabount [who termed Duncan with the name “gentle giant”] and many more whom were close with the star. Duncan’s fiancee Reverend, Omarosa Manigault was very distraught and somber as she sat with Duncan’s mother and siblings.
Duncan’s private funeral was held at the Forest Lawn Memorial-Park and Mortuaries in the Hollywood Hills section of Los Angeles, Monday, Sept 10th. Duncan was given a baptist funeral, and celebrity singers Angie Stone, Kelly Price, Kenny Lattimore, and Abraham McDonald sung at the funeral backed by a gospel choir.
