Lil Scrappy & Erica Covers Rolling Out Magazine: He Put A Ring On It?

If You Like Then You Should Put A Ring On It.

And indeed Lil Scrappy did. The rapper, who was a  love triangle on this season of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta struggled to re-re-patch things with first love/babymother Erica Dixon after he publcily shamed her by  cheating and leaving her for rapper Diamond prior. The trust has been broken, and Erica need more time and certified proof [aka an engagement ring] that Scrappy was serious about their relationship second time around.

Well, three times must be a charm because Scrappy had messed up yet again during the first season of LHHA and had an affair with his so called best friend/aka “the homie” Shay Johnson. By the time the season finale had come around [Sept 5th]  Scrappy realized  that Erica was his true  “DIAMOND” in the ruff, and during the season reunion show he dumped Shay,  and declared his love for Erica with an official marriage proposal in front of millions of people.

And hence the reason for the cover shoot above. Erica and Scrappy and their daughter Emani are back together as one big family, and the couple talks everything from the rumors of Scrappy lack of parenting, to his momma boy ways, and what made him ultimately propose and step up to the plate. So let’s get into it.

On his lack of parenting:

“That was the one thing that kept getting to me. It was messed up because they heard Erica say one thing, and then they took it and ran with it. I have always been there for Erica and Emani, so it kind of got to me when they would say that. I may say some of the same things that other dudes say, but I don’t mean it in the same way. I’m not like these other baby daddy dudes out here. I really take care of mine.”

On Their Engagement Erica says:

“I’m in a very good place in my life right now,” she shared, while watching Scrappy take some solo photos. “I learned so much about myself through this process with the show, and now I’m just looking forward to this next chapter in my life.”

On Their Engagement Scrappy says:

“It was time for me to do something really grown, so I popped the question and the beautiful lady said yes … that’s why she has the ring on her finger. But now we’re just waiting for the next big step. I wasn’t trying to play around with it for a hundred years. I wanted to do something really big.”

We all know can attest that falling is love is far more easier that remaining in love but it’s good to see that Lil Scrappy and Erica are committed to making it work for their family. We wish them well. Here’s a few more pics from the shoot below:
