Let the drama begin! Although we anticipated that the Memphitz would be invited to the Love & Hip Hop reunion show couch to finally confront K. Michelle on her public allegations of his physical abuse towards her, our hopes were null and void as Memphitz never made it. K. Michelle never mentioned Memphitz name on the show but when asked in both radio and in person interviews, she never once denied that it was indeed “Mickey Memphitz Wright” that assaulted her and depleted her 2 million dollar recording budget which ultimately left her in financial ruins and a bad reputation in the music industry.
Well, Memphitz is fed up with the allegations and K. Michelle’s continued public rants and now he’s taking their beef to the court room instead. Both K. Michelle and wants his reputation to be restored. Memphitz said n a recent statement
“My family and I have suffered tremendously while VH-1, Monami Ent., and the other companies provided a worldwide platform for K. Michelle to repeatedly assassinate my character. The filing of this suit is to compensate for the irreparable damage that has been done to my reputation and to deter these companies from doing such future harm to others.
In the court documents filed by Memphtiz lawyer, K. Michelle [aka Kimberly Michelle Pate] assasinated the character of a person while failing to show substantial proof of the alleged assault in which she claims to have suffered from.
“K. Michelle has taken full advantage of society’s tendency to accept claims of domestic violence as always being true, even in the absence of proof. The only abuse that actually occurred is the malicious and calculated pattern of vicious lies Ms. Pate has assailed for the purpose of fabricating a compelling story line in an attempt to ruin my client’s name.”
“Domestic violence is an issue of serious nature, often having grave consequences for true victims with whom we all sympathize. However, it is unconscionable for one to play on the sympathies of the masses by levying false accusations of such heinous acts against an innocent party, simply for the sake of entertainment or for purported career advancement. After reviewing the evidence in this matter, we are prepared to litigate this case to the fullest extent of the law to seek justice for our client and to restore his name and professional reputation.”
Memphitz is seeking 1dollar per viewer per episode. Reprotedly Lovee & Hip Hop raked in 3-5 million views per episode and if the judge were to find in favor or Memphitz and taken into account all of the episodes shown Memephtiz could be walking away with roughly 30-50 million dollars in this lawsuit.
The stakes are high and and pot is getting hot. VH1 and Mona Scott may not be ready to battle in court over an employee who’s been on the job less than their probation period. So more than likely K.Michelle will have to cough of some type proof or else somebody will be forced to pay. Stay tuned folks!
