As many of us have heard and or seen, Love & Hip Hop star, K. Michelle has been telling her story which reportedly included an “abusive relationship” she had with her former boyfriend/music manager, Memphitz Wright. The story sparked instant media attention given Memphitz industry representation and more so now that Memphitz is the newly wed of reality star Toya Wright [former wife and babymama of Lil Wayne].
Although K. Michelle never mentioned “Memphitz” name in the reality show, soon thereafter K. Michelle noted that it was indeed Memphitz who “beat her”, smothered her with a pillow, and covered her mouth as she was pleading for her life on in a radio interview with TT Torez host.
Well, as we all know there are two sides to every story and last week Memphitz went on record to tell his side of what happened in the hotel where the alleged abuse took place. According to Memphitz, as he calls it, “restrained” K. Michelle by holding her wrists after she repeatedly swung and slapped him. He went on to say that he never smothered her with a pillow but he did cover her mouth because she was screaming and yelling and he was embarassed by her behavior.
“I get up to the room and I’m like, “Yo for real that is the last time you embarrass me, I’m done!” That ain’t my swag, that ain’t who I am. All of a sudden, I see it for the first time: the Tasmanian Devil, start swinging, throwing stuff at me. I’m like “What the f— is going on?” I’m trying to get to the door, blocking punches, I’m trying to explain to the housekeeping ladies, “Y’all call somebody,” ’cause she’s throwing stuff out the window”
In addition, Memphitz went on to say that K. Michelle has had a bad reputation in the industry due to her own careless behavior and notes that she could’ve of been abuse in her former relationship, but it was not by him. He also shared some new information that he dated Mimi’s friend Arianne and how surprised he was to see her befriending K. Michelle on the show and not speaking up about his character given their courtship history.
As for the 2 million dollars that was spent. Memphitz says K. Michelle was not a well established artist to receieve such an amount and says it was her lies that ultimately got him fired from Jive records.
“Unless you have a substantial amount of heat on you in the streets, it is far-fetched to say any new artist receives 2 million dollars on a deal. She got signed for around $500,000. Then after re-forcasting, I said we have to fix this, this and this.”

“I was trying to be a one man show. It was certain things. Like K going up to the office and telling the label that I hit her and so forth”.

K.Michelle did say in the season finale show that if folks start doubting her story and Memphitz didn’t t apologize soon she will show proof. Now that Memphitz has come forward and is demanding her to show proof, I think it’s in K. Michelle’s best interest to do so because her character on the show was not shown in the best of life and her industry rep is also not up to par either.
It is rumored that Memphitz is to confront K. Michelle on the 2-part Love & Hip Hop Reunion Show which airs tomorrow night (August 27th] at 8pm on VH1.
