[Video] Beyonce Debuts “I Was Here” Video Plus Valerie Amos And Beyonce Speak On World Humanitarian Day

The song of the day goes to my girl Queen Bey “I Was Here”. I absolutely love this song and I think Bey chose the perfect cause /campaign for such a befitting song. Honoring World Humanitarian Day, Beyonce performed her hit song at the United Nations Assembly in New York City a few weeks back and it was aired lived this past Sunday [August 19th]  The title speaks for itself. I was Here. The message is simple: Everybody is Somebody and its time world recognizes that.

Bringing awareness to the various regions that were impacted by natural disasters and the countless workers/volunteers who contributed their humanitarian deeds in aiding the victims. Bey sings

I want to say I lived each day, until I die/
And know that I meant something in, somebody’s life/
The hearts I have touched, will be the proof that I leave/
That I made a difference, and this world will see/
I was here/
I lived, I loved/
I was here/

Diane Warren [who wrote the song] had this to say about the lovely Beyonce.

Bonus: Valerie Amos and Beyonce talks with Anderson Cooper about WHD. Take a listen.
