Nicki Minaj To Join Idol! Mariah Carey Said To Be Unpleased!

While it’s still up in the air as to which stars will be the next idol judge, its seems as though there is a strong possibility that Nicki Minaj will be sitting alongside Mariah Carey on the upcoming season of American Idol show. Although there has been no official word from Nicki’s camp, Us Weekly reports that close source has confirm “truth” to the matter and Nicki Minaj is set to be on the panel.

The rapper/singer hinted towards that truth via twitter earlier this week following a back and forth rant with her unloyal Barbz following a cancellation of her show at the 2012 V Festival event in England.

Due to strained vocal chords, Nicki was ordered to take a break and therefore cancelled her show but with much anticipation of her presence some fans was angry and express their feelings publicly. Nicki, who is also quick to lash back quickly, did the same.

First Nicki publicist issued this statement:

“Despite doctor’s orders, she performed on a bruised vocal chord in [New York City] on Aug. 14. As a result, the chord has gotten worse.”

Shortly thereafter Nicki issued the following to her fans:

“I am so thankful to my true fans who understand WHY I couldn’t play #VFestival & WHY I can’t play Dublin. Absolutely gutted,” she wrote Monday morning.

Then more tweets followed:

“However, if u have anything negative to say to me, please #EatS**tAndDie – I am human.”

“Like people are hitting me telling me I shldve mimed. No! Then you woulda made a f***ing STORY out of that too! #killyaf***ingself.”

“I will NOT let you people make me feel horrible for a fucking HEALTH issue! That’s what got me in this mess! I shldve listened 2 the doctor!

‘I was in jeopardy of losing my voice entirely and needing surgery on my vocal chord. If u can’t understand that, your mother’s a WHORE!!!!’

“My beloved United Kingdom, u know how much I f***ing love u! Ireland, I truly appreciate you. Barbz, thnku for the well wishes.’

By the end of Nicki’s rant, she then informed her Barbz that she would be announcing a big surprise. The last time Nicki said that she was speak ing of her recent free concert at NYC, following her cancellation at the 2012 Hot 97 Summer Jam concert. Nicki did live up to her promise and delivered a wondeful performance to her loyal barbz at NYC Roseland ballroom on Aug 14th, but given her medical issue she won’t be ble to do the same for her overseas fans and therefore I assume that she could be talking about joining idol as the rumor suggests.

Rumors also brew stating that Mariah Carey was unpleased when she learned that Nicki was joining the show. Somehow, I just can’t believe this one unless I hear it from Carey herself. The two collaborated on songs together and they seem to be good friends. There has been no talk of any tension or differences of the two an although Carey has more experience in the game and considers herself as high ranking DIVA, Carey, who said to be in the studio working on her new album can use the idol publicity just as much Nicki now that she will be off the music radar for quite some time.

However, there is saying that goes: Two Queens Can’t Run A Kingdom! , so Nicki joining could pose a slight problem for Carey who is use to owning the spotlight. Nonetheless I think this would be good for the star for a few reasons:

1) Nicki would be able to take a few months rest [as the doctors ordered]

2) Her role as idol judge would enhance her fame and bringforth more Barbz

3) Nicki can debut her third studio album midway through the season and perform her new single towards the finale of the show similar to former idol judge J-lo.

4) And lastly, Nicki can then resume touring, and performing, and pick up right where she left. I mean, she’ll be be relevant wither way!
