Missy Elliot And Timbaland Will Not Take Park In Aaliyah New Album. Plus Keisha Chante Tributes Aaliyah In New Photoshoot

While many of us had hoped that the rumors were true and Missy and Timbaland would be assisting in the new Aaliyah project it seems as those rumors are FALSE. Given the public attention of a posthumous album Missy and and Timbaland stand behind the Aaliyah’s family and will not be participating in any Aaliyah music nor rumored film projects.

A representative from Blackguard Records (Aaliyah’s label) said this:

“Although Missy and Timbaland always strive to keep the memory of their close friend alive, we have not been contacted about the project nor are there any plans at this time to participate,” said Mona Scott-Young, Elliott’s manager. “We’ve seen the reports surfacing that they have been confirmed to participate but that is not the case. Both Missy and Timbaland are very sensitive to the loss still being felt by the family so we wanted to clear up any misinformation being circulated.”

I wondered what this new album will sound like without Missy and Timbaland contribution. They knew how to match Aaliyah sound and music perfectly.

In related news, rumors have been swirlling that Drake ex-girlfriend above , Keisha Chante [who is of strong resemblance to Aailyah]  is to play Aaliyah in her upcoming biopic film but thhe movie is still up in the air.
I an interview with Chis Yandek of CYInterview  Keisha says that there are still  some unresolved issues lingering loosely and as much as she would like to play the role of Aaliyah, she and movie producers would  prefer Aaliayh’s family approval but there’s alot of legal issues involved.

“…From my understanding, there are people trying to create a movie and Aaliyah’s family are still mourning her loss and aren’t ready to share her story and create a film. So there’s a bit of back and forth thing with her family and with creative people. And I know that they would bless a movie being created, they’re just not 100 percent comfortable and unfortunately from my understanding they don’t have complete control of her estate. So a movie could technically be made without them green lighting it and I kind of think that’s unfortunate. So I want her family to be on board and to be happy with it. It’s still kind of lingering in the air.”

Continued:

…And for me, I’ve always wanted to kind of talk about it, it’s just really, it’s uncomfortable. I don’t want to disrespect her family. I know that they’re, they don’t like it. They don’t like when they get calls from people, like, ‘Oh, I heard this about your daughter. I heard this.’ Because it’s painful for them. So I know that the lawyer and even them and even my team who have kind of like you know, it’s happy, it’s better for everyone to not really speak on it and I’m just feel like you know, I’m not supposed to speak on it, but I know in this situation, yeah, it’ kind of, it’s a long time coming and I know people really want to know what’s going on. So yeah, I definitely think this was the perfect time to tell you.”

As the saying goes: “Some thing are better left unsaid” and clearly untouched in this matter. Hoping for the best.
