Unseen Footage Of The Makings Of Jay-Z And Kanye Watch The Throne

A new documentary which shows the makings of the Jay-Z and Kanye Watch The Throne album and tour has surfaced the web. The document was filmed by Robert Lopuski who followed Jay-Z and Kanye as they traveled the world from the U.S. to the U.K. and overseas to Australia where Jay and Ye spent most of their time deriving inspiration and making their most epic album to date.

The documentary also features the lovely and uncomparable Beyonce who makes a few notable appearances at the “aussie mansion”. Lopuski recently interviewed with Paradigm magazine where he talked about how he met Jayand Ye and ultimately how he came to documenting their album and tour.

“I was in Madrid on another gig when I got the call. I had to drop everything to fly out to Sydney. I didn’t have any equipment with me. So I asked Kanye’s team if it was cool to put in a rental order– like, could you guys get some stuff down there for me? I wrote up a list: I need a camera, a mic, a stand, the simple abc’s, and they said don’t worry, we got it.”

Lopuski also elaborated on the ‘Aussie’ mansion where he too stayed with Jay, Kanye, Beyonce, and a few others while recording Watch The Throne.

“Yeah, it was such a small, intimate space. They basically converted the living room into a recording studio and there was literally only like 6-7 people in the room – Jay, Kanye, Beyonce, two engineers, myself, a producer, Don C (Kanye’s manager).”
