A new reality show has sprung upon us. Singers, Nicci Gilbert [who is the co-exec producer of the show] , Faith Evans, Monifah and Syleena Jonhson, and Keke Wyatt will star in a new reality show which will air on cable network TVOne.
According to the TVone:
The eight-episode, one-hour series chronicles the ladies’ long-running friendship as well as their professional lives and personal challenges. Spurred by Evans, the quintet comes together to produce a charity album inspired by Whitney Houston. Proceeds from the album will benefit the Whitney E. Houston Academy of Creative and Performing Arts in East Orange, New Jersey. As this project unfolds, so does a candid look at other career and personal issues affecting the divas, including motherhood, divorce, alcohol and physical abuse as well as entrepreneurial pursuits.
Unlike other reality shows where the cast are brought together by producers, these women are REAL FRIENDS and the show will show their authentic selves as mothers, divorcee’s, as well as reveal some of their pass demons of alcohol, drugs, and physicals abuse. The cast has already stated that there friendship is one of longevity and viewers can expect to see NO fighting drama on the show.
Finally something positive. “R&B Divas” will premieres Aug. 20 (10 p.m. EST).
