Nicki Minaj Shoots “Pounds The Alarm” Video In Trinidad

Like her celebrity peers, Nicki Minaj headed home to her native island “Trinidad” for 4th of July, but it was still business as usual for the star. Minaj,  was filming her new video “Pound The Alarm” in the tropical island and she surely revvup up her Caribbean roots for the vid.

Dressed in traditional carnival , Nicki sported a blonde curly wig with big read feathery pea cock trail, black leatods, and lace fishnets stockings, Nicki was sparkling from head to toe.

Nicki also got as warm welcome and video cameo from the caribbean soca king “Michael Montana” and Bunji Garlin. Nicki seemed to be overjoyed and overwhelmed by the support, and she took to twitter shortly after the wrap-up to shout-out her hometown. Nicki tweeted:

Just wrapped an amazing video on an amazing island #Trinidad #poundthealarm…The heat in Trinidad is on another level. O-o The girls in the vid are drop dead gorgeous & I’m not just saying it cuz I’m from here …..Always bitter sweet when I have to leave my country. Had the best time of my life shooting this video. Thank you Trinidad!
