It Was Too Big To Miss?
The 2012 BET Awards ceremony kicked off last night live from the Nokia Kodack theater in Los Angeles, Cali. yesterday [July 1]. Talk about Black Star Power! The stars were out and they heated up both the red carpet and stage area inside and out.
The pre-show and red carpet kicked off at 6pm. Among the celebrities that were noted on the scene were, OMG Girlz, Rappers, Machine Gun Kelly, French Montana Singer,Elle Vernar, Rapper Future, Slaughter House, and ASAP Rocky all of whom performed on the pre-show stage. Actress, Kyla Pratt, Lala Anthony, Trey Songz, Jamie Fox, Angela Bassett, Marsha Ambrosius, graced the red carpet.
As for the ceremony, it was surely a night to remember. The opening performance included Kanye West who performed Mercy with his protege rappers, 2 Chainz, Pusha-T, and Big Sean [who won for best new artist].
Other performers included Usher, Melanie Fiona, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj [who surely brought the Roman-Hood out], Tyrese, and Joe [who paid tribute to Mayes and Frankie Beverly], Chantay Moore, [who tribute to Donna Summers] D’Angelo, Monica, Brandy, Chaka Khan, and Cissy Houston [all of whom paid and Whitney Houston]. What can I say this was surely a night to remember.
French Montana performed ‘Shot Caller’ on the pre-show.

Tyrese, Genuine and Tank. The trio walked the carpet together and finally shed some truth to the rumor that they are indeed coming out weith as record as group. It’s true! The trio inked a deal with Atlantic records and will be debuting an album which is forthcoming very soon. The group name: TGT.

Singer, Marsha Ambrosius was safe with this number but I think she could of done way better if you ask me.
Willow and Jaden Smith [children of Will and Jada Smith] shows some affection on the carpet. Willow premiered her new video “I AM ME” yesterday also, and it’s surely worth taking a look.
Singer , Monica and hubby NMBA player, Shannon Brown. Shannon could’ve brought better swag on the carpet but the duo make a cute couple so Anywho?

Ricky “ROZAY” Ross was “so sophisticated” in all white as he made his way through the carpet.
Flashback! Singer Faith Evans [the former wife of Biggie Smalls] was formally dressed in a detailed trim-lined suit. Faith seems to putting back on some weight again, but nevertheless she gave a stellar performance in her tribute song to Mayes and Frankie Beverly.
