Ri-Ri grandma “Dolly” has passed after her long battle with cancer. The singer brotke the news to fans via twitter early this morning.
Ri-Ri has been very open about her close relationship and strong affection for her gramdparents. Back in March, the bajan beauty paid her grandparents a visit at their brooklyn apartment where she cooked up a caribbean dish in celebration of her “Gran Dolly’s” birthday. In tribute to the passing of her grandma “Dolly” Singer, Rihanna posted pictures of her recent moments with her grandmother via instagram.
Just shortly after Gran Dolly’s birthday Ri-Ri was informed that her grandmother had taken ill to cancer and RiRi was at her bedside every time she could.
The passing of a loved one is never an easy one especially when their’s a close relationship between the two. We send our sincere condolences to Rihanna and her family during this time.
