Word on the street is,
Three of the co-stars of Vh1’s reality show “Basketballwives” got their pink slip and will not be returning for the fifth season realityshow. Executive producer and cast member, Shaunie O’neal went on record to omit herself as the person or the blame for the firing of these women.
TMZ reports that Shaunie is now responding to accusations saying that she was “CLUE-LESS” of the who would be on the firing team [after she herself noted that she would cut three of the current casts. Was she talking about her friends of this season-Evelyn, Tami, and Suzy?]
Shaunie says she was blind-sided by the news and alluded that Shed Media might be going against her request of a more positive entertainment show rather than a weekly fight-fess show. Shaunie and Shed Media are said to be on disagreement terms with the direction of the show and as a result Shaunie says that she is willing to accept her walking papers if NECESSARY.
Sidebar: Ironically, the women that stirred up most of the drama remained on the show while the others who were boring and repetitive got axed. Now who’s fault is that? Royce got a bad wrap from the start but it didn’t help when the other girls refused to film with her after she defended herself from Evelyn throwing a glass bottle at her in season 3. Keisha and Jennifer [the two non-phyiscal cast members] clearly loss the producers vote when they went public on the show about their rejection to physical violence and threatened to puruse legal action against ALL PARTIES INVOLVED.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is another day and life in showbusiness. I predict that the fifth season will show 10% more of the positives in the ladies but they will add two additional cast members that will indeed be sure to start up drama, therefore leaving the current casts (Shaunie, Evelyn, Tami, and Suzy) to defend themselves and ACT A DAMN FOOL once again.
