The video that I’ve been waiting for has arrived. Nas released the video for his controversial song “Daughters” an apology song Nas tributed to his daughter [Destiny] for not being the proper father figure for her while growing up. Nas wrote the song following his daughter’s twitter controversy last year after Destiny posted a pic of condoms by her bedside with a caption and a pic of white benz she called cocaine.
In the video, Nas walks us through his life as a young man having a child and acquiring music fame at the same time. While Nas [who cherishes his daughter] is thrilled to have a baby-girl he was still ‘running the streets’ and doing all the wrong things [in front of her] like like having numerous women in her presence not realizing that she was watching and picking up his behavior.
By the end of the video, Nas shows that he has accepted responsibility and vows to be a better parent to his daughter who is captured waving back at her dad. Check out the video and tell us what you think?
Clearly, Nas and his daughter had some rehashing to do and has since patch up their relationship.
