Who Cares What A Hater Got To Say!
That was surely the anthem at Meagan Good’s bachelorette party. The think like a Man star celebrated her bachelorette party at the Pussycat Dolls Burlesque Saloon Nightclub at Planet Hollywood this past Friday [May 25th ] The theme of the night was Act Like A Pussy Doll and Think Like A Man.
The bachelorettes were dressed like Pussycat Dolls, including the star herself [Meagan Good], the soon to be wife of Devon Franklin [the Hollywood executive & producer/and pastor of Seventh-Day Adventist church] but that did not pass over well with some folks.
Meagan along with the Pussycat Dolls delighted her friends and family with a special performance and she seem to be having a great time but rather than enjoy a fun night with her close friends and mother-in-law [who was also present] the actress faced immediate harsh criticism for her outfit and performance which many people felt was ‘inappropriate behavior’ for a devoted Christian.
Meagan’s west coast hood came right out and she fired back at the critic’s. Meagan told people mag:
I don’t think there is anything wrong with being sexy or cheeky or funny. I don’t know how some church folk are going to be, but at the end of the day it’s between me and God and my husband.
As for the hater-bashers abroad, Meagan addressed them also on her twitter account.
Let’s get something straight … I wasn’t half naked last night … I was actually very covered up,not showing any more than I show when I dress up to go to events .,,and let’s get something else straight .. I’m a (sic) actress, there will be many things narrow minded people deem unholy or not 1st lady like … But this is not so..it’s about your relationship with God and your personal convictions …if you see footage you will see I was covered up having fun dancing and enjoying my self with my friends and family and absolutely not doing a striptease …smh (some, sic) people are ridiculous .. Can’t a give (girl) enjoy her bachelorette party in peace?
Pussy Cat Doll creator, Robin Antin [far right above] noted that Meagan was more covered than other women whom she dressed before.
We covered Meagan up a little more than our past guest Pussycat Dolls,” Antin said. “But she is so stunning that it didn’t matter.” And Good’s advice on being a purr-fect Pussycat Doll? Be true to who you are.
We live in such a hypocritical society. I really don’t see what the problem is. And what business it is of anyone’s to judge Meagan on her church duties. Meagan was well over dressed for a Pussy Cat Doll event and rather than be disobedient and cheat on the night of her bachelor party like most men do, she gave a performance for the crowd instead. Yet, Beyonce can wears liastods, stockings, glitter and even the first lady Michelle Obama [who goes to church faithfully with her hubby and kids weekly] praises her for being a role model. Meagan shows a little breast and thighs and all of a sudden she’s un-church like.
