Tyra Banks has fired her longtime friend and co-judges from her hit tv show America’s Next Top Model show. Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander will not be returning to the show for the upcoming season Cycle 18 due to “production decision” and major “changes” being made by producers of the show and instead the trio was given the “pink slip” instead.
In an interview with Page six, America’s Top Model producer Ken Mok spoke amicably about the departure saying:
Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander have been an integral part of the America’s Next Top Model brand and they helped turn this show into the household name it is today. They have been amazing assets to the show and will always be a part of the Top Model family. We will continue to actively work with each of them on future projects.
Wow! These men put in ten years of work with the network show and all they get is a good speech. Tyra Banks then confirmed the news on her facebook page saying:
To my Nigel Barker, Miss J and Mr. Jay: Thank you for all of your years together on America’s Next Top Model. Working with you is always an absolute pleasure. Excited for what the future holds for us XoXO, TyTy.
Showbusiness is truly a mother f-ck–! One day your in and the next minute your out.
