Jennifer Williams Holds Press Conference For Lawsuit Against Nia Crooks

Jennifer Williams is a woman of her word. The basketball wives reality star held a press conference in New York City on Thursday April 19th. Standing alongside her attorney, Williams talked about her lawusit against former friend turned nemesis Nia Crooks [who slapped Jen at race track event awhile back] and why justice needs to be served in this case.

Since Jen and Nia was taping for the reality show at the time VH1 producers captured the entire on video and aired the incident on Monday night’s episode.

Jen was straight to the point with her lawsuit saying:

Violence used against any person is wrong but when a woman hits another woman it sets a horrible example for young girls everywhere. I choose to use the justice system to fight back.

I didn’t watch the video for a long time because I lived it. It’s disturbing. It’s humiliating. I get anxiety just thinking about it. She hit me with her open hand on my cheek. I’ve never been hit in my life.

So why is Jen suing now, oppose to three months ago when the incident actually occurred?

Word on the street is that Jen maybe doing this to boost her ratings as she desperately wants to maintain the spotlight like her co-star Evelyn Lozado. Earlier this week, Jen took to her blog to dish about the lawusit and its importance to young women abroad:

Seeking Justice!

Here’s the thing: on my show some of these women take pride in showing their a– in the most compromising way. These females have a point to prove and will do or say anything to be a “reality show star.” Fame is a powerful drug and some will go any length to achieve it. I am a grown woman and I have never had to fight someone to prove my point, I use my vocabulary and brain for that. Mature woman should be able to communicate their differences without violence. Using your hands to express yourself is absolutely WACK!!!

I will never forget that day at the racetrack, I didn’t go there to fight so that was the last thing I expected to encounter. All I remember was the nonsense that took place. The assistant/gofer decided to be in full action with her monkey see monkey do self as she snuck a slap from behind. You are a coward if you catch me off guard while sitting down and not to mention a bully! Then the president of the NON Factor T-shirt Enterprise thought that jumping across the table like a demon would be a good look for the young women in America that watch the show. The horses racing around the track were more civilized than some of the woman with me in the presidential suite that day. I swear I still don’t understand why someone would want to act so ridiculous on national television but I guess some will do anything for fame.

Rumor has it that the other cast mates of Basketballwives reality show are planning to boycott the reunion show if Jen attends -says TMZ. Now we all know what happens when your single-out on your own show; you get axed and or forced to leave. Jennifer Williams pulling a Sheree Whitfield in the coming weeks.

People- Stay tuned!
