Diggy Simmons And Lala Anthony Cover ‘Rolling Out’ Magazine

Diggy Simmons  talks new album “Unexpected Arrival” which dropped last week [March 20th]m, entrepreneurship, and the the impact of social media.

On Creating His First Album:
When I went out to L.A. in January 2011, the first two songs that I recorded; made it on the album. I was blessed enough that the process was just so natural and organic. I had the right people around me, such as great producers. I was able to make a real sound for myself. I’m so proud. I haven’t been so enthusiastic about something in my entire life.

On balancing his life as an artist and a business man with sneaker and clothing line:
Honestly, I don’t really look at the sneakers and clothes like a business decision that I’m making or being an entrepreneur. Creatively, if I love something and I have the opportunity to do it, I’ll do it. I love creating and making great things for the culture. I don’t feel like it’s me being an entrepreneur, even though technically it is looked at as that. It’s just me doing more of what I love.

On the impact of social media [facebook, twitter, etc]  in his career:
As far as being closer to fans, that’s something that’s more genuine. If you really appreciate the people that support you and go hard for you, you’re naturally going to want to connect with them, so that you can tell them that you love them and that you thank them for their support. I don’t think that you should use it just because you want to get further. I do it because I really love the fact that my fans take pride in being a part of this journey with me.

Lala Anthony Strikes Again!

Lala Anthony covers the April follow-up issue of ‘Rolling Out’ magazine. Lala looks seasonally stunning in a green sequined dress along with pink accented make-up [eyeshadow, blush, and lipstick]; it was a perfect blend with the star hazel eyes.  In the mag Lala talks about her various business pursuits and how she balances her full court Life

On The Biggest Misconception Of Herself:
Sometimes, one thing that I hear that is a misconception is, “what does she do?” And, “what is her job?” It’s the craziest thing, as anyone knows, being a mom is a full-time job. [I’m also] a wife, and I did a reality show, and I just did a movie. I’ve done television series, I produced the Mike Tyson documentary a few years ago, I’m producing reality shows, I have a makeup line and I’m working on my new collection. I am pretty much working all day and I’m walking into an ABC show now to see Kim [Kardashian] and it’s six o’clock in the morning!

On Why She Waited 8 Years To Marry Carmelo Anthony:
Every woman should figure out what works best for your relationship. For me, it was not about waiting for a ring, my husband and I were taking our time, we’ve been together for eight years, and you’ve got to know what’s best for your own relationship. You’ve got to figure out what works best for you. What works for me, might not work for you and vice versa. As a woman you know when it feels right, and when it doesn’t, and you have to follow your intuition on that
