Dennis Rodman Says He’s Sick And Financially Broke!

I don’t think anyone would ever suspect that ex-NBA baller Dennis Rodman would be on the brinks of bankruptcy but the star claims that he is broke and medically ill. The once blunt In recent court documents filed by Rodman’s ex Michelle Rodman, Dennis is behind in his monthly child support payments, a total of $808,935 in unpaid child support for his two children and Michelle is now seeking the full sum of Rodman’s back pay fees for their two children along with an additional 50k for unpaid spousal support fees.

Rodman’s attorney have recently offered a counter claim that insists that Rodman is broke and ‘extremely sick’ and unfortunately cannot afford to pay his child support debt.

Respondent Dennis Rodman is broke and cannot afford any additional fees,” Rodman’s attorney Linnea Willis wrote.

Rodman has been looking very fatigued and frail these days, so there’s a great chance that there his argument is indeed true.

Michelle’s attorney Feinberg & Waller saysd that Michelle [who was married to the star for five years] and the kids had the utilities shut off in their home, which they were eventually evicted from the home..

Michelle Rodman’s ability to provide basic necessities for her children was severely limited by Dennis Rodman’s failure to provide ample support for the children,” states Waller. “On December 7, 2009, the law offices of Feinberg & Waller, APC was successful in obtaining a court order in the Orange County Superior Court, case number 04D002751, requiring Dennis Rodman to pay Michelle $50,000.00 per month child support. The court also made a finding that Dennis Rodman was $100,000.00 in arrears on child support.

Rodman was a staple of the “Bad Boys” Detroit Pistons squads of the late 1980s, Rodman was known for his flamboyant off-the-court behavior and ever-changing hair color later in his career. The second round draft pick out of Southeastern Oklahoma State helped the Pistons to two NBA titles in 1989 and 1990 and took home three more rings with the Chicago Bulls from 1996 to 1998. Rodman was picked seven times for the NBA All-Defensive First Team and led the league in rebounding for seven straight seasons.Rodman was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in August of 2011.

Waller says the action against Rodman will send a strong message to all ‘deadbeat dads’ who feel they “can live the high life while at the same time ignore their responsibilities as parents”.

Too often we see entertainment and sports celebrities falling into trouble with their spouses and families,” he said. “It is time that these high earning celebrities and sports figures stand up and take stock of their responsibilities to their families. They need to realize that there are people other than themselves, specifically their spouses and children, who need their love, attention and support. The problem of deadbeat dads leaving children in their wake is an international problem; strict enforcement of child support laws is necessary to protect the best interests of children worldwide. Dennis Rodman should be in the hall of shame not a hall of fame.
