[Video] Brandy And Monica Pay Tribute To Whitney Houston At V103 Soul Session Event

We’ve Achieved More Together Than When We Were Apart, says Monica

These two should really come out with an album together. They’re great solo artists but they have such an undeniable chemistry when they sing together. Fans were in for a real treat last week when Brandy and Monica showed up. The duo performed performed their new song “It All Belongs To Me” along with classic Whitney Houston ballets and their 1994 hit ‘The Boy Is Mine’ as well.

The private event was held at the W-Hotel in Atlanta and was part of V103′s Conversation and Soul Sessions event hosted by V103′s mid-day host Egypt. Monica received a warm-welcome from her fellow ATl natives as did Brandy. Other celebrity were also in attendance including T.I and wife Tiny, Kandi Burress, Toya, and Former Destiny child member Latavia Roberson.

You’ll realise its about two women fighting over a cheating man. I’m not saying Brandy/Monica are actually fighting in real life. Its the fact that they’re portraying two women fighting over a guy, a cheating guy no less. Look at the title of the song “the boy is mine”. Right away it evoques a combative imagery.

Wow, I’m amazed about how many people “love” this song. Its about two grown women fighting over a cheating bastard. Ladies, wakeï»¿ up. Quick the idiot to the curb and find yourselves a man willing and able to devote himself to you and only you. It was crazy during that time people kept arguing over who the guy really wanted lol. Don’t get me wrong Brandy and Monica did the best they could and sang well in It all belongs to me but honey I tried so hard to like the song but it’s just corny. They really need toï»¿ scrap that song and consider it a buzz song and go back to the studio and do another song because all that song is, is a watered down Beyonce Irreplaceable song and that is so beneath bot Brandy and Monica.
