Melanie Fiona ‘Performs Wrong Side Of Love’ At Album Release Party

The most anticipated album of the year has arrived!

Canadian singer/songwriter, Melanie Fiona is back with her sophomore album “The MF Life” which is out in music stores and itunes today. Rumor has it that this album meets the comparison of Lauren Hill, Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston and is sure to make Fiona a household name.

We first heard Fiona back in 2009 when she dropped her first album “The Bridge” which including hits such a “It Kills Me” and “Give It To Me  Right”. Fiona says that her first album was more of a tribute and homage to her music idols [Sam Cooke, Nat King Cole, Otis Redding, Patsy Kline and Benny King] that inspired her, however her new album “The MF Life” is more of who she is. Fiona talks love, heartbreak, letting go and self-worth on this album. She reveals alot of her own trials and tribulations with her relationship and reminds us that we must ‘own our truth’ in order to move forward.

Fiona’s first single 4am off of ‘The MF Life’ album peaked bill board charts in the first week of its release back in december and there’s is more hits on this album like  “Change The Record” featuring B.O.B. “Rock Paper Scissors“, and ‘I’ve Been That Girl‘ feat. rapper Drake.

Last night Melanie Fiona celebrated her album release party at ‘The Darby’ in NYC . Fiona performed all new songs off of her album including ‘Wrong Side Of Love’, and ‘This Time’ feat. J Cole.

Melanie proves thats hard work does pay off and she attributes her music success to her mentor and boss Jay-Z,  Kanye [who she toured with in 2008 before she had an album, and Alicia Keys. Melanie says she learned the art of performing and the importance of connecting with her fans.
