Brandy and Monica hit up BET’s 106th & Park show yesterday to premiere their new video “It All Belongs To Me“. The pair also talked about their undying love for the late Whitney Houston and past rumors of their alleged feud with one another and why they have decided to join forces once again.
Brandy – On Their Reunion:
“Well, she [Monica] had a great song and just me begging for years that we get back together but we didn’t have the right song and it wasn’t the right timing and I think this was the perfect time our fans have been pressuring us to get back in the studio, this is what they wanted for so long; so yeah.”
Monica- On Their Past Feud
For years we didn’t have very communication at all for It was definitely a time around the The Boy Is Mine Era that we did’n even stay in the same room….Honesty is the Best policy… We realize that we did more things together than separately.
Monica – On Whitney’s Death
Devastating is almost an understatement. I mean I look back at my whole life and admiring her. Even before her death, every night on stage I did tributes to her because I would always remind her that you are the greatest, no matter what place your life is in. It can not be taken from you what God has given you and those are the things that she reminded me when I was going through my tough times I look back at my whole.
Brandy – On Whitney’s Death
I mean, she gave me the dream. I would not sing or any of that if it was not for her and I just can’t believe she’s gone. I really can’t and I don’t understand. I don’t think I ever will, but I can only go forward just trying to make her proud and living my purpose and living my truth.

Monica’s new album “New Life” drops April 10th, and Brandy, who co-stars in Tyler Perry’s upcoming “The Marriage Counselor” hit theaters later this year.
