Corvida Raven was born a geek girl in 1987, well known as an expert in social media, blogging, mobile applications, and using the internet to find the best deals when shopping and creating graphic design apps, she is called the “The Oprah of the Web”.
She started her love affair with books. Sci-fi and mystery books to be exact. Any book that would take her to another world, always showing show her something new, or having a good puzzle in the mix was perfect for Corvida’s beginning geekness. Corvida found out about MP3 CD players, which sparked her love affair with gadgets that have mastered the latest technology. Once the internet hit, it was a wrap and here she is today.
“I’ve always felt there was a huge divide between women and technology. Growing up I was probably the only person I knew that was beyond obsessed with technology. My Computer Science classes in college only served to drive this point home when it came to women and technology. Out of a class of 20 only 5 were women, myself included.”
