It is so ironic that the man behind the hit song “Headlines” is always making media headlines of his own.
Drake is back on the blogs this week after Vibe Magazine called Drake a “DIVA” after he showed up 8 hours late for his cover photo shoot and then rejected to wear the mag’s clothing that was chosen for him. Instead Drake demanded that he wear his own clothes (which he brought by the way) and that’s when “things fell apart”. According to close sources at Vibe, the shoot was to showcase spring wear and since Drake was on the cover of the Feb/March issue, the clothing was rightly appropriate. Instead Drake brought his own clothes which was mostly Hermès and leather bomber jackets. Vibe denied Drake’s request, and the rapper then stormed off set.
According to Drake’s camp, Drake felt that the stylist was “too aggressive” and he was not feeling her tone nor the direction of the shoot, so he left. Vibe replaced Drake with Nicki Minaj whom they crowned as Notorious K.I.N.G.In the name of YMCB I guess it was win-win situation for Vibe.
Vibe still managed to feature Drake’s article in the mag where he talked about his beefs with rappers Ludacris, Future, and Pusha T.
Since Drake hip-hop emergence and rapid success, the OVO has stirred up a few beefs with radio VJ and fellow rapper as well. Seems like everyone is not a fan of Drake’s rapper/singer persona and notable metaphors and rappers, Ludacris, Pusha T and Future have been more than vocal about their opinion.
On Future:
“I’ve got no issues with him,” he says of Future, who was upset that Drake didn’t appear in his video, “Tony Montana.” I’m happy I got on the song.On Pusha T:
Pusha T, who once cryptically rhymed that, “the swag doesn’t match the sweaters,” gets off easy, too. “I’ve been really open about my love for the Clipse,” he says. “I don’t know, maybe that guy is bored. On Ludacris:
Ludacris, who was accused of stealing Big Sean and Drake’s hashtag flow, also receives a halfhearted smack down, That’s a case of someone trying to use my marketing money to get things going again for themselves. That didn’t affect my day, my month, my year. I didn’t take any of that seriously.
Drake has mended fences with rapper Common this past weekend and has yet to respond to rapper DMX’s statement of him and just when you thought Drake would be looking to more beefs to settle; he could care less and no is he enthused to do so.
