The 2012 Oscar Academy Awards premiered last night on ABC. Billy Krystal was the evening host of the three and half hour ceremony. Today we recap some of the hottest looks of celebrities who wowed us on the red carpet.
Viola Davis looked stunning. Davis rocked her natural curls along with strap-less a green Vera Wang dress. Davis was up for Best Actress but she came up short last night and was defeated by two-time Oscar winner, Meryl Street. Go Figure!
Jennifer Lopez brought her latin sex appeal to the red carpet. Dressed in a silvery sheer Zuhair Murad gown J-lo showed off her neck and backline, and rocked an updo that showed off her Loraine Schwartz diamond earrings.

Actor and oscar nominee, George Clooney’s girlfriend Stacey Keibler looked amazing in gold Marchesa gown. Clooney joke on the red carpet that he if didn’t win an Oscar, he would be okay because he is already taking home a gold statute.
Black was big at tonight’s Oscars. Angelina Jolie rocked a sexy slitted velvet Atelier Versace gown as she arrived with Brad Pitt and his parents Bill and Jane. Bridesmaids’ Rose Byrne sparkled in Vivienne Westwood sequins while presenter Tina Fey chose Carolina Herrera. Jessica Chastain and Sandra Bullock mixed up the basic black with Jessica in a gold embroidered McQueen gown that she accented with $2 million of Harry Winston jewels and Sandra in a two-tone Marchesa gown.
Natalie Portman and Emma Stone went for the traditional route Natalie wore Christian Dior and Emma Stone dressed in Giambattista Valli ensemble with bright lips. Best actress nominee Michelle Williams accented her orange Christian Dior dress with a pink clutch while Viola Davis brought another pop of color in green Vera Wang and presenter. Penelope Cruz played it safe and rocked showed shoulder in Armani Privé.
Cameran Diaz looked dazzling in a Gucci gown and Gwenyth Paltrow keep it simple and chic in Tom Ford dress.
