Tyler Perry Talks ‘Good Deeds’Address Kim Kardashian Controversy On Chelsea Handler

Tyler Perry appeared on the Chelsea Lately show this week to promote his new film, Good Deeds’. Perry and Chelsea were like two jokers in a deck of cards. Chelsea threw a couple of jabs at Perry; first with his name Madea whom Chelsea pronounces as Madayah often then second when she inquired as to how Kim Kardashian landed a starring role in Perry’s upcoming film The ‘Marriage Counselor’. Chelsea said this to Perry while staring at his feet:

I heard she[Kim Kardashian] has a pension for black men with big feet

Perry in return affirmed that he barely watches tv but soon after he casted Kim-k for the role is when he learned of her divorce and later as he puts it “all hell broke loose”.

Every black woman in America was after me for that. So the two things I realized would get me in trouble is hiring Kim Kardashian for a movie and dating you, so now I know two things that I can’t do. But no, she was great in the movie and it was a lot of fun.

I guess will have to watch Perry’s upcoming film before we judge Kim-K.

Perry also poked fun back at Chelsea. During the interview Perry informs Chelsea that his decision to come on her show was a marketing tactic to ‘get white folks to see his movie’.

When discussing the ‘Good Deed’s Perry talked of its inspiration which he drew from his personal experience where he actually helped a woman that was homeless. Perry says that he’d come upon this homeless person and immediately thought to himself that she’d wanted some money/change but when he drew closer to her the woman asked for a pair of shoes instead. Perry took the woman to his studio and gave her a pair of shoes from one of the dressing rooms and the woman simply replied: “My feet are now off the ground”.

Perry says that experience has changed his perception on life and often reminds him that even in times of despair his foot is off the ground. we should be grateful that our feet
