Well it was only a matter of time. Despite Nicki’s 20 million plus viewer youtube hits of her latest video Stupid Hoe” from her upcoming album ‘Roman Reloaded’ B.E.T network has decided to ban the video from airing on its airwaves. B.E.T made no specific commentary as to why they made their decision and simply aded that the will not be broadcasting the video.
‘Stupid Hoe’ debut on vevo on Jan 20th and unlike her prior videos many of her fans seemed a bit displeased by Nicki’s new music approach. Some fans claims Nicki’s lyrical content slipped backwards and have become to vulgar for their taste while other fans of the barbie rapper praised her fashion style in the video. I guess B.E.T. and the other women aren’t too fond of seeing Nicki dressed as a naked barbie doll with a huge behind which ultimately sends the wrong image to young girls.
Either way Nicki should really examine herself and the direction of her music in which she is being asked to take? Her last three feature songs (‘Ass’, That’s Why You Mad’ and Stupid Hoe) have all been saturated with too much profanity, and explicit lyrics and if she continues this routine she’ll put a dent in her fan base and album sales for sure. Nicki’s album has already been pushed back from Feb 14 to April 3rd so if Nicki doesn’t get more airplay on and if Sometime its best to stick the regular course of things especially when its been working so well for you.
