Drakes Make Final Address of Common Beef And Referencing Kobe’s Ex-Wife Vanessa Bryant

Drake is opting to be the bigger man!

It’s no secret that Drake and Common are not been the best of friends. The two have been going back and forth with verbal lashes on wax even recently as Drake addresses Common on Rick Ross latest song “Stay Schemin” calling Common a want a be thug rapper using a ploy to promote album sales, while Common remixed his own version of Stay Schemin calling Drake a “Sweet Rapper“.

Well Drake tells Nahright.com that he will not be making any more references to Common because of the reputation the beef and his personal integrity of it all.

Drake On Continuing The Beef With Common:

No. Because despite how it’s been worded by him that situation is not a “hip hop moment” or a “battle for the sake of musical integrity”…it’s a ploy for attention around the release of an album. More than anything it was just disappointing cause what kid isn’t a fan of what Common has done for our genre. A guy who made such an incredible career for himself based off expressing genuine feelings about life and love is now targeting me for sharing my story.

Drake is also making headlines due to his reference to Kobe Bryant ex-wife Vanessa Bryant whom he spoke of on the Stay Schemin track as well. In the song Drake says:

Kobe ’bout to lose a hundred fifty M’s
Kobe my nigga I hate it, had to be him
Bitch you wasn’t with me shooting in the gym
(Bitch you wasn’t with me shooting in the gym)

Drake On Referencing Vanessa Bryant:

That line came from a conversation about being this young and making this much money and the fear of losing it all. I just used his potential situation to address my own life. I never intended to offend Vanessa or anyone else. That line had everything to do with me and what goes on in my head as a 25 year old man with this much income flowing in. Kobe is and always will be a friend and an icon to me.

Hopefully all is forgiven and both Drake and Common can go back to being “the lovable nice rappers”
