President Barack Obama should win an oscar for his role as president. He fits this character so well. He has the intelligence, speech etiquette, poise, demeanor and the heart of lion.
The state of the economy right now has surely divided us as nation. The rise of unemployment , the increased deficit, and the unforgivable bailout crisis has angered most Americans and as result caused an all out OCCUPY movement across the states. Given these hard times, millions of Americans tuned into last night State Of The Union Address to hear the President speak on these current issues and how he plans to get this country back on track if reinstated.
Well, the president sure has a talent for pursuasive speech because he was straight up honest about why were facing these issues and how we need to come together as country both the 99% and the 1% to get America back on track.
Here are some of my favorite parts of the president’s speech last night:
Watch the video below:
“The country doesn’t envy me because I pay low taxes, they realize that me paying a low tax means that the the money will have to made up somewhere else.. either in the deficit or in their college education because of tuition hikes. Now is that fair? “We must level the plain”.
“Unemployment needs to be a Re-Employment System”
“We can either settle for a country where a shrinking number of people do really well, while a growing number of Americans barely get by. Or we can restore an economy where everyone gets a fair shot, everyone does their fair share and everyone plays by the same set of rules”.
And his ending speech was the most memorable, tax equality:
“No bailouts, No handouts, No cop-outs. An America build to last insist on a responsibility from everyone. A quarter of all millionaire’s pay a lower tax rate than millions of middle class households.Billionaire Warren Buffet pays less taxes than a secretary”.
