Kevin Hart Talks Laugh At My Pain Success, The Importance of Ownership, New Movie, And More Interview With The Breakfast Club


Kevin Hart is at the top of his game right now. Hart has the number one rated DVD out “Laugh At My Pain”, the leading man in Ford’s Explorer commerical, and a new movie underway.

The comedian stopped by Power 105.1 BreakfastClub Morning Show earlier today to talk about his new role in ‘Think Like A Man’, new business ventures and pursuit of ownership, and why he recently turned down a comedy show in Chicago that offered to pay him a million dollars.

ON TURNING DOWN PROJECTS
I’m turning down stuff cause it more.. and more because I’m in the ownership game I’m trying to own whatever I do, so unless its a big studio project, if its something I can do myself and fund through my company then I’ll rather do it that way.

Doing well. Number 1 on itunes for comedy right now, number 11 for overall movies. Eight million dollars total in the box office, only on 200 screens. I put up the all the money for the movie so it all comes back to heartbeat productions’

ON HIS  NEW VENTURES:
I’m getting ready working on a movie called “Quick and Easy. It’s a funny movie me playing like ah.. think 48 hours with Eddie Murphy but not in that time period, in 2012 . I’m also getting ready to my next tour called Let Me Explain, starting at the Garden.
