Today we remember Dr. Martin Luther King, and the dream.
Let us not forget our history from where we came. Although we’ve come far, we still have a long way to go. Just think: It’s now over 40 years since the civil rights movement and voting rights and equal opportunities were afforded to Blacks yet we still face the terror of racism in our front and back door in the 21st century.
One of the most popular activities of Martin Luther King Jr. Day is the replaying and remembering of his famous “I Have a Dream Speech,” given on Aug. 28, 1963, on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.
