Tina Knowles, mother of r&b singer Beyonce can officially call herself a single lady.
Beyonce’s parents separated two years ago, after public news broke that Mathew Knowles had an affair and fathered a child while married to his wife Tina Knowles. When DNA results confirmed that Mathew was indeed the father of his mistress child, Tina said goodbye to their 30 years of marriage.
According to details obtained by E! News, Tina refiled for divorce from Matthew on Aug. 30 after initially filing in 2009.
So, why the delay? Well, per Harris County, Texas, records, the former couple did have a divorce hearing scheduled in Nov. 2010, but it was dismissed for “Want of Prosecution”, meaning both Tina and Matthew failed to appear in court.
The divorce was finalized on Nov. 11.
