We can all put the rumors to bed now, Vivica and Slim are over. Well, unlike Slim who had what he called a slight mishap when he went public about the break up a few weeks ago, only to recant his statement and request privacy from the public while he and Vivica ‘works things out’. Well, the two sure have working things out and they have called it quits.
Vivica is now speaking out to and says she has learned a valuable lesson about herself in which she won’t be repeating.
Vivica told this Access Hollywood:
“I told myself I’m going to try something different next time ’cause I happen to fall in love with a six-pack and a smile and look what that’s gotten me,”
Vivica alluded to the fact the Slim was never really into her and more interested in the fame and celebrity status of being with her instead.
“Sometimes when you’re successful you just have to make sure that someone is coming to you with real intentions. That means taking the time to get to know them for real and make sure they’re not dating you as the celebrity,” she said. “That does make it a little bit difficult to make sure that someone isn’t marrying you for a shopping spree.”
Vivica says she is currently not dating, and she’s taking some time for herself.
“I’m enjoying being single for a little while and regrouping and focusing on myself and my career and being happy and positive,” she said.
Slim on the other hand had this to say in an earlier interview with Sister2Sister
“I’m not caught up in the fame of marrying an actress ‘cause I got this thing going,”
Well, although its not clear what caused the actual breakup, it is very evident that there were some issues, and judging from each of their stories it seems as though this may have been a decision for the better.
