Earlier this morning paramedics were called to Heavy D’s home in L.A to what appeared to be a patient in respiratory distress. The patient was hip hop legend Heavy D. Heavy D was alleged to be conscious but shortly after his arrival at nearby hospital around 1:00pm he was pronounced dead. Cops are now investigating the rap legend death but they….
stated that “there was is no evidence of foul play”.
TMZ reports that ” Early this afternoon Heavy D had just returned from shopping and walked up some stairs when he began having trouble breathing. Adam Mills, a designer who was in the building and knew Heavy D, found him leaning against a railing and clearly in distress. Adam tells us he cradled Heavy D in his lap as others called 911. Adam says Heavy D was conscious and said to him, “I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe.” When paramedics took Heavy D to the hospital he had a pulse. People in the building are saying he died of a heart attack, but we have not been able to confirm that. Law enforcement sources tell us … no foul play was involved and so far they only know the cause of death was “medical.”
Fans, friends and loved ones have been sending their condolences to Heavy D’s family and the P.L.U.M staff would like to extend their condolences as well.
Heavy D is indeed a hip-hop legend and his death similar to boxing legend Joe Frasier is a complete shock and disbelief to all of us. Rest in peace.
