Amy Winehouse

The coroner results are in!

The Montreal Gazette, has reported that a british coroners have confirmed Amy Winehouse cause of death was due to ‘alcohol poisoning’. Yesterday (Oct 26) Suzanne Greenway read the verdict to a British court stating that singer’s death on July 23 was ruled “death by misadventure”. Greenway told the court the following:

“(Winehouse) consumed sufficient alcohol . . . and the unintended consequence of such potentially fatal levels was her sudden and unexpected death.” An autopsy on the 27-year-old revealed her blood-alcohol level (at 416 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood) was 4.5 times over the legal drunk-driving limit.

The coroner said she was told by police detective inspector Les Newman, who was called after a security guard found Winehouse, that three empty vodka bottles were scattered around her bedroom.

Now that we have the results the question is was this a homicide or did Amy Winehouse overdose on Alcohol. Winehouse doctor (Romete) also revealed to the courts that Amy was looking forward to her birthday and that she had prescribed Winehouse drugs, including the sedative Librium, to help her cope with the symptoms of alcohol withdrawal. Winehouse “post-mortem examination found Winehouse vital organs in good health and with no traces of illegal drugs”.
