Police Use Tear Gas in Occupy Oakland Protests

Occupy Wall Street, Occupy Everywhere is truly the anthem song these days. Citizens are “Fed Up” and are speaking out. Actors, Philanthropists, Civil Rights Leaders, have joined the movement in support of “OCCUPY” protests.

But things got out of control last night in Oakland California. What started out as a peaceful protester turned ugly as the night grew. Protesters and police have blamed the incident on another. Protesters say police over reacted and used chemical force to remove the from government plaza (downtown City Hall in California), and police claim that and the police say that protestors threw objects like beers, and paint cans which enabled them to react in that manner.

53 people were arrested, a few suffered minor injuries from the tear gas, but no one was harmed. Reporter, Alison Kasa of CNN said:
“Top 1% (wealthy) of the population income grew 275% and the middle class income has grown 40%. Now just imagine how much the lower class (the working poor) have grown. That’s what the “OCCUPY” movement is all about.
