Three time gold medalist, Usain Bolt wins in the mens 100 meter again at the 2011 World Championship Olympics. Bolt who became world reknown icon after he won three gold medals at the 2008 Olympic Games in Bejing China. Bolt, became the first man in Olympic History to with in both the 200m and 100m races in World Record.
Yohan Blake won the gold medal in the men’s 200m coming in at 19.2 seconds; the second fastest record than Bolt (former champion) who stands at 19.1 seconds. Blake says “To be compared to the greatest and fastest runners…I feel like I’m over the moon”.
Two time (’05,’06) USA Indoor Championship winner Danielle Caruthers also took home the gold medal in the women’s 100 meter hurdles. Caruthers said “I Knew I could compete against the best and the fastest….but I’d had achilles problems and I had only practice the meet twice before the Olympics games.”
