It’s not over yet. Attorneys of Eddie Long seek to recover $1million dollars from the settlement case. The Bishop, who was accused of coercing five young men into having relationships with him settled the case back in May. Three of the five men received a total of $1.5 million dollars. Long’s attorneys now claim that two of the alleged victims; Jamal Parris and Spencer LeGrande have breached the settlement agreement by speaking publicly about the case.
According to Atlanta Journal, no court documents have been filed yet, but Long attorneys have drafted letter to the plaintiff’s “demanding and arbitration”. When asked if they (Paris, Legrande) were threatened by long’s new claim Legrande said “I’m going to tell the world….money cannot buy happiness….who cares about a number”.
What will his members say now? Eddie is still the senior pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptiste Church; one the biggest mega churches based in Georgia. Hopefully this lawsuit won’t cost the congregation again.
